Endoscopic Transmaxillary orbitotomy for Cavernous Malformation: A Case Report with Technical Considerations

چکیده

Cavernoma is a benign tumour of the orbit. It results in proptosis, visual disturbance, diplopia and ptosis eye. amenable to surgery without recurrence. We report case left orbital cavernoma female, who presented with non-pulsatile painless no perception light. Her MRI revealed orbit inferior optic nerve. She was operated by endoscopic transmaxillary orbitotomy. This easily removed tumour, avoided craniotomy cosmetically acceptable. Bang. J Neurosurgery 2021; 11(1): 58-61

CM, originating from the optic chiasm. usually leads to chiasma syndrome presenting with bitemporal hemianopsia. We report a 28-year-old male presenting with left homonymous hemianopsia. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed an occupied lesion located in the right si...

De novo cavernous malformation after radiosurgery for cerebellar arteriovenous malformation: A case report

Stereotactic radiosurgery, including gamma knife radiosurgery (GKS), can in rare cases result in de novo cavernous malformations (CMs). Here, we present a case of de novo CM induced by GKS following treatment of a cerebellar arteriovenous malformation (AVM). A 48-year-old woman was diagnosed with left unilateral Moyamoya disease. Conventional cerebral angiography also revealed an AVM in the lef...
